Christalyn Brooks - Gallery Director and Founder
Christalyn Brooks, a self-taught artist, began writing poetry in junior high school. Realizing she had a love for expressing herself through lyrical art, she decided to cross over to songwriting. To date she has written two award winning songs in the Christian genre of the ISC in 2004, and the Nashville Paramount Group in 2006.
In her early 20's, with a passionate drive toward creativity, she began studying the worlds of visual arts and psychology. She founded the business “Children’s Murals”, and oversaw memorable local commercial projects. (You can see her name signed on the party mural in Mulligan's Family Fun Center, Temecula CA!) She used this business venture as an opportunity to work with the "Make A Wish Foundation", and tenderly reflects in her experiences conducting a painting for Princess Laura, 4 years old, in her castle before she went to be with the Lord.
To date she has extended M.A.D. Studio to serve the community in a variety of ways in regards to art. She is on the board at the Addiction Recovery Center in Temecula,

Christalyn Brooks paints and writes with purpose, and her work carefully carries the depth of healing and gentle conviction. She seeks to reveal a side of the human soul one does not always want to face, but is blessed to release. With inspiration from songwriters such as Jewel, Norah Jones, and Rich Mullins, and visual artist Jackson Pollock, Christalyn continues to create and identify with soul-searching projects. |
